The past week has been very difficult for mom. Death comes in it's own time and it's own way, and for mom, the Hospice nurse said people will approach death much as they have approached life.
Of course for mom that means that even though her mind is letting her know that time is near, her body is digging in and fighting.
There is fear and unfinished business that seems to be determining the path she is taking.
Mom is having extreme restlessness, and we have been working closely with the hospice nurses.
At this time she is in need of 24/7 supervision, and we are doing a shout out to her Nurse friends to see if we can call in a favor and try to schedule Nurses to be with her the next 7 days to help with the process. When mom is alert we have talked to her about this and she is really comforted and welcomes the help from her colleagues.
Nancy Hoffman has accepted my request to put together a schedule from 7am to 7pm for any of the Nurses out there that would like to offer outside support to our family at this time.
Nancy can be reached anytime before 9pm each day on her cell phone  She can also receive texts at this number.
Mom is at home, and Hospice has provided all the equipment needed to help make her comfortable as death draws near.
Please call Nancy if you are able to offer any hours of service.
We are looking for any time slots between the hours of 7am and 7pm starting Sunday October 12th to October 17th to start with, and then we can re-assess Mom's needs.
Thank you everyone again for all your support and caring words and encouragement during mom's final Phase.
This is the toughest thing I have ever had to do for her. "Letting go" is a hard thing to prepare for.

So sad. Makes my troubles seem so trivial. Peace Kitt.

I am glad she is "comfortable" and not in much pain... God has His arms wrapped around her. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. What a HUGE blessing she has been to us all!

Our poor Kitt. I hope Mary's final days are filled with love and peace. She was and still is our warrior and I will always remember her help and kindness for me and for all of us. Peace Kitt, we all love you!

I was just coming on to check in, and to see how everyone is doing.

I really have no words... my thoughts and prayers are going out to Kitt and her family in this very difficult time.

Having gone through this myself, less than two months ago with my father, I really feel for her children, and of course her husband.

I am so deeply saddened to log on and see this. Kitt is very special to me and has helped me through so many difficult times.

Peace be with you "Kitty Cat", and may your journey to be with the Lord be as comfortable and painless as possible.

Dear Lord, may you give Kitt the peace she needs to let go of life here on earth and guide her with Your light to come home. Wrap her in the warmth of Your arms. For all of us left behind, especially her family members, give us the strength to accept that we must say goodbye to such a wonderful, caring, woman who spoke to our spirits and helped us get through hard times. We will miss her. Remind us that there will come a time when we will all be reunited again in your Kingdom of Glory.

My thoughts and prayers to her and her family during this difficult time. There are no words I can say to take away the sadness. What I do remember is first coming to this sight, and all her encouragement and advice. May she find peace with the lords help.

oh kitt, nearly six yrs ago you welcomed me. my first post and i believe you were my first reply. i love ya mate.

I'm speechless... I never had someone I never met or never even laid eyes on impact my life the way Kitt has. I'm praying for comfort.

Kitt recently gave me her words of wisdom after my recent trauma and it was very touching. I appreciated that so much. I am sad for all of you and her for family because she seems to have touched so many lives.
