I understand your frustration...I went through the same thing with my oldest daughter. I knew she was smart...but her school marks never reflected her intelligence.
When we did have her tested...the administrator told us that she scored in the highly gifted range (IQ was 140 something) I burst into tears of joy...mixed with confusion and frustration!
She had a rough time of it both in public, private...and yes, even homeschool for a short stint.
She does deal with mild ADHD as well as what we believe to be bi polar 2.
I encourage you to keep open communication with your daughter's teacher... take advantage of your school's resources, and possibly her privately assessed if necessary.
I know how difficult this is to deal with...but as Smooth mentioned. ..this is likely beyond what your daughter can control or change through will alone. There is probably an underlying issue that needs to be addressed.
Once you figure that out, and get her helped...there will be no stopping her;)
