hey everyone it's been awhile I hope everyone is doing well... So my doctor my new doctor is putting me up to 10 milligrams of Lexapro and I'm finally going to give it a try. I've been on 5 milligrams for the last 4 months and my derealization anxiety agoraphobia and insomnia have been so severe that I thought I was either going to die because my mind will be put in a psych ward... I'm really hoping and wishing that this works for me and works fast so they could I have some kind of life again... If anybody has any positive stories about
going from 5 milligram Lexapro to 10 milligrams of Lexapro or any Lexapro positive story please let me know and also I'm hoping because I've been on Lexapro for 4 months that when I take the increase that I feel better quicker... Thank you always for your support please wish me luck and keep me in your prayers this is the first time I'm actually going to up it till 10...

Lexapro is a great drug, Gigi, and you should feel a difference in efficacy in 3 to 7 days. 5mg is the starting dose for most people and 10mg is the typical maintenance dose. I guess that means that there are hundreds of thousands of Lexapro users who have made the same journey before you. :)
If you start feeling side effects don't sweat it. Chances are they're quite normal and will dissipate over the next few weeks. My personal experience with Lexapro was positive and it worked very well for my GAD.

Hi
Sorry to hear you have been having a tough time lately.
Lexapro is a good medication imo and probably the best antidepressant I have taken so I reckon the 10mg will help you out and it should be quick acting.
Keep us posted.
