anyone on here doing so? how is it going and what are you coming off of?

I am now at 4.5mg diazepam after crossing over from 1.25mg lorazepam to 12.5mgs diazepam (Heather Ashton protocol)

I am sicker then ever but have been given dx of MAV (vestibular/migraine associated vertigo) and possible Lyme

so have no clue what is causing what

worst symptom outside of anxiety is woozy/off balanced/ dizzy /whacked out head

I am sorry you are currently dealing with so many challenges. It can be hard to distinguish between the issues when there is more then one thing going on at once!

I do have to encourage you to get a weaning schedule from your doctor. At the dosage you are currently taking, attempting to discontinue on your own would not be safe.

I'm currently tapering off as well from lorazepam, I only take .25 mg at nights now. I use to take 1.5 mg, but I have really cut down on my panic attacks so I'm slowly coming off. It was a little hard at first, but I think my body is getting use to it and hopefully I can come off it. Discuss what's the best way to taper with your Dr and remember to be patient.

Hi

Valium is a tough one to discontinue it took me 5 months so slow and steady is the best option IMO.

thanks all...but I am not new to this...I have been to MANY drs. and Have Heather Ashtons manual to go by...just was looking for others who can commiserate with
