Blood clot fear

I have been having left leg pain for about 11 days or so and it goes from behind my thigh and down to my knee and calf. I'm also getting weird pain in my groin. I went to urgent care yesterday and the doctor said she didn't think it was a blood clot because I don't have any known risk factors. She did a d dimer blood test and said it was negative which meant I had a very small chance of having a clot. I still am having the leg pain and can't get out of my head that there may still be a chance. Has anyone else had experience with this blood test and is it pretty accurate?

Not personally, but I have sent a few of my residents to Hosp in the past for suspected blood clot. Mainly due to pain in calf that feels warm to touch and some swelling and knowing their history of inactivity.

Blood tests are accurate , if there is ever doubt they would send home with a 7 day course of injections to thin the blood, with an appointment to return in 7 days.

Just a thought could it be sciatica, its usually down thigh knee to calf and foot with some referred pain in groin. as the sciatic nerve is the longest we have in our bodies it can cause a lot of those symptoms.

Heat and pain relief should help. A mixture of rest and some movement it can last a while even a muscle rub can ease it x

Can sciatic pain cause tingling throughout the whole leg? And would it be sciatic pain even if you don't have any pain in the back when you push back there?

Yes , it doesn't have to affect the back as the nerve goes all the way to the foot. It can cause numbness too and a toothachey pain if that makes sense 😉

READ DR. CHRISTOPHER'S REMEDIES FOR BLOOD CLOT PROBLEMS. HE USUALLY RECOMMENDS CAYENNE. I TAKE 2 CAPSULES A DAY. GETS RID OF VARICOSE VEINS TOO.

I also just noticed that I have a tender to touch spot on the front right part of my calf....

We can't diagnose you of course, so please make an appointment with your regular doctor asap. ..to put your mind at ease, and get any treatment needed.

However, I am sure you can put the blood clot worry aside. The ER doctor saw no indication for one, and the test was negative...all good news! :)

I would read Dr. Christopher's internet pages on blood clots
.he uses cayenne to rid of blood clot issues
read the cayenne testimonials from hundreds' of people it will give you the confidence to use it. Aspirin also had been used for years and is still being used for same thing..
