I am so sorry to hear about your prolonged flair. I hope you and your doctor can find the right treatment regimen, and put a plan in place for a long and successful remission very soon!
I believe this will not only go a long way in you feeling better physical, (of course)...but also mentally!
It is wearing, emotionally, to live with a CI...and our filters can become negative, naturally...as we are too worn down to sustain positivity, which requires much energy!
As far as the fears and 'old ghosts' of your past relationships go...it is important to deal with these so as not drag them into the current one, and taint it.
There are a lot of good self help books for learning to heal from past hurts and trust again...
...as well as CBT worksheets in our Resources for challenging the negative thoughts and worries.
This should be a happy time...so getting to work on modifying your thoughts should definitely be a goal! :)
