finally saw dr who put me back on Zoloft . she is shure it will work again after being off it almost 4 years. I am relieved I don't have to try something new . I know what to expect from Zoloft-if it works again. took my first dose and all ready anxiety fells less. got klonipin and some sleep aid that I am not fam with. I will give it a try

sc-i have 5 more rad treatments . cant wait till they are done. question for hibee-i was given mirtazapine for sleep. wernt you taking this a while back? any first hand info you can pass on to me. will I be able to drive the next day etc. was given 15mg

Hey super20dan. I was taking 15mg of Mirt. It definitely helped me sleep. I found I was okay for most of the day, but when it got to be 9 or so in the evening, I couldn't stay awake. It should also work for anxiety. I was given that to replace lexapro. I hope you get some quick relief. I'm now taking 7.5mg.

day 5 of Zoloft- I can feel it starting to work sometimes but still having terriable anxiety. thank god for benzos

Yep...they are called rescue meds for a reason aren't they!

Sending encouagement that the Zoloft comes up to therapeutic levels soon...

well felling anxiety today after my radiation treatment. I swear they are triggers for me somehow. tomorrow is my last treatment! I am going easy on the benzos. it looks like it may take a while longer for the Zoloft to fully kick in.

last treatment this am! I am done. less anxiety today . still getting little sleep. only needed I buspar so far today. my second go round with Zoloft hasn't been as smooth as the first time. but it does seem to be starting to take effect. 1 week today

Hopefully everything can settle down for you now that your chemo is done. You toughed it out and now you deserve a bit if a break. Glad that is done. Really pulling for you to catch a nice long window of calm sailing!

tim tam-sleep still isn't good. usually I can get just enough sleep with melantoian and valerian . dr wants me to take klonipin at bed time. I don't like to use benzos for sleep. I have restoril and ambiean if things get real bad. but I don't like to take them unless I have too. everyone-thanks for the support

Dan I'm 2nd time around this time too. I think it's working for me too and I had the same fears still have them especially in the last 3 days!! It's day 13 or 14 for me (I think I forgot lol) congratulations on finishing treatment and being strong! YOU ARE AMAZING!
