Mind racing thoughts

I am so happy I find this forum with so many kind people that know how it is to live with anxiety.

I am on day 7 with Zoloft and yesterday I noticed my mind was like chattering. It is like my mind refuse to relax. I get anxious because of it and then it almost feels like my thoughts are load if that makes sense. I woke up today after 5 hours of sleep with the same problem. Took a Xanax and it calmed down so I could sleep. My thoughts are like spinning and I feel unfocused/stressed. I also get like random music songs.

If you read my previous post I have OCD/GAD and at the moment my biggest fear is that I have bipolar disorder. I read that this is a very common symptom if you are bipolar. I am more afraid now being on Zoloft since SSRI can trigger mania if you are.

Can it be just my anxiety/OCD getting bad because of Zoloft startup?

Welcome to the forum.

It could be all related to the Zoloft startup. Usually people tend to feel a little worse before they start to feel better when starting a medication. I think you need to wait a week or two before you know if its going to help.

I get the random song thing, too.
