Starting today ..Bupropion xl added to my Prozac.

I'm scared, my doctor wants me to start Wellbutrin xl along with my Prozac. I know I will get side effects as I'm very sensitive to medicines. Anyone been on both meds?

Wellbutrin is a helpful add-on for many people!

Try not to anticipate any s/e's...because you may not have any!!

Dosage for additions are typically low, and exteneded release formulas tend to give even coverage which will keep levels steady. smile

Stay positive and focus on the good this augmentation could bring...not any possible trouble.smile

Okay I took the pill....day 1. I hope this helps me, I went to the doctor again about painful rash on my chest, remember last month I was diagnosed with shingles again. Well he wasn't certain that it was shingles again and said that it is more like a stress rash. And that's when he recommended I go on Wellbutrin along with my Prozac. I have been so sleepy lately just wanting o lay around and nap and I hope this gets
me out of this funk.

Ever since my mother passed away last Sept. and my family disowning me plus my son having to move to a different group home four hours away, the depression is just too much. I have gained 20 lbs also.

I am sorry this has been so hard. You have been through so much this year.

I am not sure I knew about your son changing homes. So this is the second? I am sorry to hear it's so far. I guess this means you don't see him as much as you'd like to and I am sure that's is so hard. sad

We are pulling for you that this adjustment with your regimen is just what you need to start feeling better.

Day 2, last night did not sleep well at all, I felt like I needed to move all the time tossing and turning, horrible.

Shoot! Sorry to hear this!

When did you take it? If you took it afternoon or evening, you can try switching to the morning...

...if you did take it a.m., you may just need to tough out the side effects until you adjust. :/

My doctor has me taking it in the morning. Last night slept better with the help of my melatonin. Today day #3, I feel okay a little malaise.

How do you like the Prozac? Have you tried other Antidepressants before? I have tried quite a few others and I’m thinking Prozac is next?! Do you more anxiety or depression?

Prozac got me out of clinical depression years ago and I have stayed with it, but after so many years on it I think it's not as effective.
