Hi everybody,
I had my cat Lily for 14 years and she passed away a year ago. I moved but now in a non pet appartment. but have a hamster which she's fine but I can't cuddle with her or really talk to her and have that companionship . I noticed my anxiety has gotten worse because I don't have that companionship with an animal. does anyone have a therapy pet that lives in a non-pet apartment but by law is allowed to have a therapy animal.
Has anyone had an issue through the therapist in regards to getting a licensed therapy dog or has had an issue with their landlord.
Thank you in advance for any information I really appreciate it

JG,
If you have a therapist or P-doc that you see, you should have no problem getting documentation to present to your landlord regarding your need for a therapy pet companion. I don't know about
the laws specifically in your area, but your mental health professional would surely be a good place to start with this question.
I am sorry for your loss...even after a year it is still hard, I know. I hope you can get the clearance to allow you a new fur baby soon! Keep us posted okay?
