Think about how you felt before you went on the meds. If you are feeling better than that, then something is helping. Therapy is such a huge help, but yes, it does take time. Time to get to know your therapist sometimes, and sometimes they have to get to know you too. Get a little insight.
For awhile, I couldn't relax and be happy. Enjoy what was going on at the time. I was always feeling like the rug would be pulled out from under me if I relaxed and let my guard down. I think it just takes practice. Anxiety keeps a lot of us from enjoying life. Take it one day at a time. Try to enjoy the moment. Even if you have to go moment to moment. It is all worth it.
It does sound like you are thinking with optimism. So I bet things really are getting better. It often takes a while to recognize it.
