I'm quite a bitg older than you, however, I had high blood pressure, colesterol and blood sugar, and I would get nice letters from my doctor suggesting exercise, diet and whatnot.
After awhile, the letters weren't so nice, or the doctor visits, I mean, it was like he gave me a chance, as if I was, right, a 39 year old. And I couldn't keep up the pace. So he suggested pills. Of course, I balked, but not for too long. I had a good chance and I couldn't do those things on my own. So I took the pills.
I would keep taking those readings on you own and write them down in your medical journal and see what's happening, such as, what did I eat yesterday, how's my exercise going? I would also keep going back to a general practitoneer to see what he or she thinks. What, annual checkup, OK.
