Hi Display,
I'm sorry you are feeling this way. I have read S.C's post here too :)
I have sometimes have a hard time during the working hours too, though usually I give myself so little time in the mornings to wake up, that I wouldn't have time to worry about things until I'm on my way (I do the thinking in the evening instead, which is also not good because it stops me from relaxing, winding down feels so difficult sometimes, especially if like me you feel good when you have a day which has gone well, and if it isn't-hasn't, then it is difficult, I find, to get out of it.
Here's what I think. S.C. is making a lot of sense reference the 'down time' to get distracted and do something enjoyable, as when I think about it, it makes sense that, if the working day is tough, it might feel tougher still and feel less manageable, when there has been more worry and lack of enjoyment out of work. I so understand some of your thoughts, I am in a different boat, I am sure, but I do understand how easy it is for thoughts of the present/past to cycle.
I find I think quite a lot, and probably not having a partner to vent to, does mean, it's hard for me to comfort myself after a day, and unburden my mind, unless I get some good thought in there, which I do practise, though not as often as I should!
