Hi all
So since the last post on my "rough patch" I guess I'm still in this rough patch lol. With my anxiety it usually embodies specific triggers and situations but when general anxiety levels are high it can deviate from the normal provoking factors.
Anyone else experience anxiety when you're
1. Feeling full - I'm quite the emetophobia and feeling full makes me anxious about
having to gag/throw up
2. Feeling cold - the colder it gets the more anxious I get, when I shiver it's really bad
3. In anxiety-associated places - my mind subconsciously registers places I was last anxious in and many times when I find myself anxious for "no reason" I realise I've been anxious in the same spot before. I've basically left "anxiety trails" EVERYWHERE on campus so there's that lol.
4. Anywhere outside of home - in this time of high anxiety I'm almost always on edge and scared any time of the day except only when I'm at home. I don't know where the anxiety comes from but I'm just scared all the time
That's all I can think of right now...
I'm currently taking a day at the time so um yea :/

I can relate...
It used to be that any deviance from my comfort zone could set my anxiety off. We become pretty sensitized from what we have dealt with...
...and just about
anything can be a trigger, or an association. :/
The more you work your program, and the farther you progress....the less you will be susceptible to these issues.
Keep up the good work...you have continued to press on, and that is a good sign that you are making progress!

I know this works so please try, find anything you like to do, read, right, pray, meditate, what you need is a distraction, and distraction really works, Peace.

Hi all thanks for letting me know this is relatable for u too.
Thanks Larry for the distraction tips! I usually come on this forum to read threads for distraction when I'm anxious outside of home....
Just need to get this general anxiety down asap.
Update: I have a mini presentation tmr which was actually due 2 weeks ago but I was freaking out so much I skipped school. Just found out absentees can't run away from it D: been worried about
it since ytd night lol I just gained some insight earlier and thankfully brought anxiety levels down. Hoping tmr I'll be a champ at combatting the intrusive thoughts whilst presenting ...... :)

BR,
You'll do great! Remember to breath slow and think positively. You have the power to calm your system...so use those coping skills to manage any anxiety that tries to make an appearance!
Best wishes and let us know how it goes.:)
