Hi Aloha and welcome back...
...although I am sorry it is due to returning anxiety. :/
Antidepressants will not harm your body or mind...but rather help you to manage the challenges that anxiety presents. In fact, in the long run...your health will be improved since you are not experiencing the damaging effects that high stress levels can create.
So think of this as a positive step towards reaching your overall health goals.

The start up period is, as you know, tough for the first few weeks...
...and it is not unusual to have an initial increase (ironically!) in your anxiety, until your system adjusts...and therapeutic levels of your Rx are reached.
More than ever it is important to practice coping skills during this time! See our Resources for ideas, or look up other tools (such as meditation videos/breathing exercises/decompression practices) to keep you feeling as relaxed as possible during the next few weeks.
Wishing you the best. Keep us posted so that we can keep you in support!
