Any deviation from the norm can be anxiety-producing for me - sometimes even the good stuff.
Smiling and pretending to be happy or even just fine for several days, is most definitely a draining task!
As is sitting in traffic (even for folks who don't mind the car).
I often feel like a need a vacation from my vacation when I return, for sure.
It's hard, but try not to get stuck in the terrible thought cycle of "Other, "normal" people can (fill in the blank), why can't I?!"
It's not helpful and it's not entirely true.
Do your best, when possible, to rest, give yourself extra TLC, and allow yourself to return to your normal routines. Cry if you need to. Eat healthy, drink plenty of water, rest when you are tired. If after a few days of this you are still feeling ill, then make an appointment with your doctor and see what they may have to offer.
