Some people in our world find humor in watching neurotic people on TV, such as long time comedy actor Woody Allen, or George Costanza on the sitcom from the 1990s, Seinfeld.
And a friend of mine who worried a great deal about little things liked to laugh at himself because of it.
But being neurotic is nothing to be laughed at. Being neurotic is a very serious issue and can interfere with how happy you are in life. It's more difficult to be happy in life if you get all worried over every little thing. Take it from someone who knows. I used to be like that.
However, with a combination of psychotherapy, medication, and setting as well as achieving realistic goals, I was able to overcome it. Nowadays I'm much more calm. I don't worry about the little things nearly as much as I used to.
If you are like how I used to be, you can overcome it. Hey, I did.
