My transition from lexapro to Prozac isn't going as well as I hoped. But it's only been four days. My psych thinks I should add abilify, but the side effects and withdrawal scare me to death. Any advice appreciated.

Yep only four days! Adding abilify....well it is known to work very quickly...i have used it and it works better as a combo. Ir may boost the lexapro ? Possible shrinks reasoning. Give the lexapro some uptake time. Generally faster acting. Keep 💪 HT. Abilify no probs weaning.

I take abilify and really like it. It is fast acting and does make other meds work better. I hope you give it a chance. I don't think withdrawal symptoms are as bad as ad's. Best wishes...

Abilify easy to come off...as karen said....more probs with anti deps. HT. Abilify very fast acting. All trial n error. Keep stuff karen.

Hi

I would give your transition to Prozac at least another couple of weeks as you will then have a better understanding of if the Prozac is working. I am currently taking Prozac and have found it helpful but I needed to go up to 60mg. I have never taken Abillify but have taken similar and sometimes combos do work better but I would wait a bit and see how you get on over the next couple of weeks.
