Scared and feel anxiety causing depression

Hello everyone,

I'm currently on 10mg of Lexapro (Been on since 2015) I have had my fair share of highs and lows but I forgot to take my pill two nights ago and since then I have been having this feeling of impending doom and my depression is creeping in. Its really affecting my day to day and I need to be level headed for my Son and Pregnant Wife. I really just needed to vent because I don't want to give Her, my Son, or the new Baby any stress. I just have a hard knot in my stomach with no appetitite. I wish you all the best and im know im trying my best to keep my head above water.

Sounds like you're out there pulling for the home team.

As a bipolar, I have had trouble with medicines, also.

Rxlist.com says Lexapro is an anti-depressant used to treat major depressive disorder and generalized anxiety disorder. Sounds like a good medicine.

It also says that Lexapro is in strengths of 5 mg, 10 mg, and 20 mg.

You might want to call your doctor. You may have been on the line between just enough and note quite enough.

I would get his or her opinion. They may want to increase it a little, or may want you to wait a few more days.

But I would call and see what they say.

What I left out was, it could be my skipping a dose, your system is taking awhile to correct itself, in that, it only got 10mg of the medicine in 2 days, when it was supposed to get 20 mg. I thought the thought, but I forgot it when I went to write it the post

So, it may take some days to correct itself and get back to 10 mg. a day.
